My Findings

I have been using Tenacity Turf Herbicide for the past few summers now, and it’s my go-to weed killer. The bottle itself has lasted me up to 3 years, but I use one 8 oz. bottle every season.

I have used this product just as directed on my St Augustine grass lawns, and it works wonders. The only weeds that I still see, after using Tenacity, are the ones that were missed and those who come up yearly as a result of seeds in the soil. This is one of the most economical products I’ve used for weed control because it not only kills current weeds/grass but also prevents future growth as well.

Drawbacks

The active ingredient in Tenacity Turf Herbicide is mesotrione, which can cause damage to turf when used pre-emergent. The product label does state that it may be applied post-emergent without irrigation within 24 hours, and it is labeled to kill clovers and dandelions.
